Summer Reel 2016

This montage focuses on personal projects, experiments and moving picture pieces that I created up until now. To keep it short: this is what I am.

The Ride Series

I have been looking to create a mini series in a kind of one-piece-a-week action. I didn’t have to look afar since I really dig motorcycling as well. Nothing better than mixing various styles of animation with the diversity of the whole fuel and oil universe.


BMW IAA 2013 – M Showroom

Style: Motion design

In 2013, BMW and Mutabor decided to give the new premium BMW M models a seperate showcase. The large cubic room was designed as a thrilling and intense display with a three by four widescreen and a 18 meter wide LED-panel wall. A colorized canvas print was put in front of the LED-panels, so different elements could be illuminated according to the main screen’s content.

In addition two-minute ambient clip sets the mood in contrast to the dynamic case movie. The task was to create a subtle loop that contains absractions of speedometer, brake lights and the head up display.

Im Zuge der IAA 2013 hat Mutabor Design das Gesamtkonzept des Messestandes für BMW entwickelt. Einer der Teilbereiche war das interaktive Leitsystem, welches den Besucher über die einzelnen Ausstellungsstandorte auf der Automesse informierte. Auf großen Info-Screens wurden die Highlights und Events des Automobilherstellers angekündigt.


BMW – PBE 2013 Event

To introduce the new F45, BMW hosted an elusive event in and around Amsterdam. In addition: At the keynote the participants were given the schedule and special locations. The task was to animate the static keyvisual and generic event map.

Deadly Sins


The project is an attempt to find the sins in our modern society and to create a symbolic perception of them without relying on religious dogmas (shown in excerpts). The soundtracks have been created upfront and where designed as a basic layer according to each sin.

The word „deadly sin“ is rather colloquial, its meaning focuses rather on vices as such. In a way, terms like sloth, lust and gluttony are forgotten, sound old-fashioned and out-dated. Nonetheless, these vices can obviously be found in our modern society. Success and influence are desirable values. And even most of us find ourself giving in to these vices from time to time, so that it is safe to say, that they are ever-present.

Some situations cause pain and the feeling, that the whole world is crumbling down. When pain starts to get unbearable, an anger rises that makes one blind and one strives for amends. Driven with vengeance, you finally let go if and when your thirst for vengeance is satosfoed.

Time is one of the greater „enemies“ of mankind, each and every one of us is free to use it as we please. But he who rests, who doesn’t act and value the time he has been given, he wastes it. This sloth is a vicious circle, he gets estranged to his environment and finally, his isolation will lead to oblivion.

Today there are lots of possibilities to let yourself go and to overcome one’s inhibitions. Lust for the lust of others or the quest for random entertainment.

Man relishes. He doesn’t want to satisfy basic needs but strives luxury. More than a few lose control, boundaries get blurry and pleasure yields addiction. Reward turns to habit and a everlasting need for relentless satisfaction.

Kick It

Kick-It has been a first time approach to the world of 3D work. It started out as an interior design project to simulate the atmosphere of the beloved football table. The clip mixes the projection and the atmosphere of some game excitement.
